Transportation
We represent motor and rail carriers in a variety of business matters. These matters often involve contractual disputes with shippers, brokers, other carriers, and third parties; claims for freight loss and damage in transit, delayed deliveries of freight; and regulatory compliance issues.
Our practice also includes representation of household movers, warehouse operators, and tugboat companies in similar business matters.
Real Estate
We represent buyers and sellers of real property and handle real estate closings. Our real estate practice also includes foreclosure sales on behalf of trustees.
Business Litigation
We represent businesses, both large and small, in litigation matters arising in the ordinary course of business including contract disputes, property disputes, regulatory matters, and collection cases.
Our business litigation practice includes appellate litigation as well as representation in alternative dispute resolution, such as mediation and arbitration.
Appeals
We represent clients in appeals in state and federal court and often are asked to enter a case on the appellate level on behalf of clients seeking to remedy an unfavorable result in a lower court (or administrative agency) or seeking to preserve a ruling in their favor.
We handle all aspects of an appeal, from briefing to oral argument, and counsel clients who seek to obtain review from a state’s highest court.
Bankruptcy
We represent bankruptcy trustees and creditors in all aspects of bankruptcy practice. We represent trustees in the identification and recovery of a debtor’s assets as well as case management and liquidation in both corporate and individual bankruptcies regardless of complexity.
We actively litigate actions to avoid preferential transfers and fraudulent conveyances, for turnover of property, dischargeability determinations, relief from automatic stay and claims objections, among others. We represent creditors in similar claims to maximize their recovery from a debtor’s assets.
